It's time to shop, eat and learn at the first ever

ChuckTown ChickFest Saturday, April 5, 2008!

Stop in for a welcoming event at the Community Development office (401 N Main St.) at 9:30 a.m. The first 100 participants will received a gift bag filled with gifts, promotions and information from participating locations. The Chamber will provide a list of businesses and schedule of events along with a map to all of their locations. Shoppers will also receive a Chick Check Off Card to get stamped at participating locations. When all of the stamps are collected, shoppers can enter a prize drawing.

Gather Up Your Chicks & Shop ‘Til You Drop!  Be sure to stop at participating businesses for in-store promotions & activities all day.

• 9 am—Noon: Mini Quilt Show & Demonstrations by Patchwork Pals Quilt Guild at the Charles City Public Library (106 Milwaukee Mall)
  Demos will include paper piecing, post cards, binding, dinner napkins, pillowcases, yo yo, and more! Plus sign up to win a guild membership and purchase a set of Barn Quilt note cards.

  9 am—Noon: Chair Massages & Juice Bar at Slinger Chiropractic Clinic (501 11th St.)
  Try samples from the juice bar and experience a relaxing chair massage.

• 9:30 am: Kick-off at the Chamber (401 N Main St.)
  Pick up your map, schedule of events and Chick Check-off Card to plan your day of fun. The first 100 participants will get a FREE gift bag with bonus items from participating businesses! Plus participate in the online scavenger hunt at www.charlescitychamber.com for a chance to win $50 Charles City Cash!

• 9 am—3:30 pm: Relay for Life Home Based Business & Craft Show at Trinity United Methodist Church (601 Milwaukee)

• 10 am: Piloga Class at Health Quest (1905 Rolfing St.)
  Get your day started on the right foot with a Piloga class with instructor Mary Buntrock. Wear your
  workout gear for this fun class that combines the best of Pilates and Yoga. Class size is limited. To sign up call Mary at (641-220-5837). Additional classes may be added based on interest.

• 11 am: “Count Your Eggs: Smart Money Tips for Women” at First Security Bank & Trust (809 Clark St.)
  Learn how to be smart with your money from financial councilor Trisha Hemesath.

• 11 am— 3 pm: Summerset Winery Wine Tasting at Otto’s Oasis (1313 Gilbert St.)
  Sample the latest selections from Summerset Winery of Indianola, IA.

• 1—2 pm: Free Workout Preview at Curves (607 N Main St.)
  Come work those chicken legs the Curves way! One hour Curves preview & workout.
